Cancer Parent Help

In 2006 Ashley’s son Nicholas underwent cancer treatment for leukemia. A few years later Ashley started a non-profit, One Mission.

One Mission helps children during cancer treatment and extends this help to parents after treatment is completed. Ashley founded One Mission’s program, Heart to Heart is a gathering of parents and caregivers whose children have had a cancer diagnosis and who have been discharged from treatment. The focus of this group is to provide support to these families as they try to re-acclimate back to life. Ashley Haseotes and other Heart to Heart members host healing events for parents of children who had cancer helping them to find balance and health through fitness, nutrition, and mind body classes. Through their combined 12 years of experience they are able to understand the struggles of returning to work, school, friends and home.

Heart to Heart provides a safe and empathetic space for parents to heal. Healing after a traumatic life experience takes time and energy. To return to living, parents must take time to heal.

Ashley’s gift to Heart to Heart is helping parents heal through her healing services, at no charge. Treatment is a tremendous financial burden, which doesn’t necessarily end as soon as the family is home from the hospital. Ashley recognizes this and offers her services to parents of children who have had cancer for free. Ashley knows first hand how important it is for parents to go through their own healing, after the trauma of having a sick child and she doesn’t want financial constraints to hinder parents from getting back on their feet, healthy and happy!
